KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman will declare open the SHAREDA PropEX 2012 at the Sabah Trade Centre in Likas on August 30, in conjunction with this year’s Merdeka Day celebration.
Disclosing this yesterday, Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (SHAREDA) president Datuk Susan Wong Siew Guen said Musa had consented to be the guest of honour at the opening ceremony of SHAREDA PropEX 2012.
She added that the Chief Minister was always very supportive of SHAREDA’s activities and, under his great leadership, the housing industry had been booming over the years with many new projects launched.
Also present at the ceremony to hand over the invitation card were Deputy Chief Minister cum Resource Development and Information Technology Minister Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai and organising chairman Datuk Ir Chong Hon Len.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Haji Hajiji Haji Noor is expected to close the exhibition on September 2 at 7 pm.
SHAREDA PropEX 2012 will be held from August 30 to September 2, from 9 am to 9 pm daily, with the theme ‘Transform Towards Lifestyle Living’.
The four-day Sabah’s ultimate home and property exhibition will feature more than 60 exhibitors in 111 booths, with about 70 per cent of them comprising property developments.
The annual event will bring together potential buyers, housing property developers, manufacturers, suppliers, home and lifestyle furnishing providers, bankers, and other service organizations, including the Employees Provident Fund, Sabah Federal Treasury Housing Loan Unit, and Properties and Valuation Department.
Among the property developers that have confirmed their participation are WSG Development Sdn Bhd, Bina Puri Construction Sdn Bhd, The W Property Collection Sdn Bhd, Wah Mie Group, Hap Seng Properties Sdn Bhd, JC Alliance Property Sdn Bhd, Dapan Holdings Sdn Bhd, Grand Merdeka Development Sdn Bhd, Sabanilam Enterprise Sdn Bhd, SUDC Sdn Bhd, IJM Land Bhd, and Riverson Corporation Sdn Bhd.
Also participating are developers from Kuala Lumpur, namely Bukit Hitam Development Sdn Bhd, Bukit Kiara Properties Sdn Bhd, and SCP Property Services Sdn Bhd, while from Malacca, Hatten Group Sdn Bhd will be participating.
All the property developers will be promoting their housing projects with themes emphasizing design, environmental friendliness, and security to meet the expectations of buyers.
As usual, there will be three awards to be given out: Best Decorative Booth Award, Best Model House Award, and Best Creative and Unique Brochure Award.
Also, the ‘Visit and Win’ lucky draws will be held daily with attractive prizes to be won, alongside the Special Merdeka and Special Property Purchasers lucky draws.
